Important Details and Travel Tips
Registration Materials
After you arrive in Phoenix and get settled in your hotel room, come to the Convention Center to register and receive your exclusive Convention tote bag full of surprises. You will also receive your Convention nametag, which will be your ticket to all the exciting Convention events. It is important to note that Gold Canyon will not be accepting on-site registration at Convention, so please be sure you have registered for your attendance and for any guests through the Convention registration website prior to coming to Convention.
Team Spirit
With the 2012 Convention theme Gold Rush, Business Is Boomin', you and your team members can dress it up with petticoats or dress it down outlaw-style. In true Western fashion, you're invited to show off your favorite cowgirl hat, play off the glimmer and shimmer of the Gold Rush theme with your own personalized blinged-out gold T-shirts or think up other fun and creative accessories. No matter what you and your team choose to wear, we're sure you'll find that team spirit can create a fun bond among your team members. Make sure you lead the way by encouraging your team to participate and don't forget your camera to capture all those candid memories!
Dress Code
As a general rule, business casual attire is appropriate for all events unless otherwise noted. Business casual includes slacks, suits, skirts, dresses, capri pants and city shorts. Shorts, jeans, tank tops and tops with spaghetti straps are not appropriate for Convention. Remember, although the weather outside will be very warm, we will be meeting in an air-conditioned facility, so you may wish to bring a light jacket or sweater.
Please note: the Awards Evening is a semi-formal event (dresses, dress slacks, suits, etc.). Because this is a special event, your adherence to the semi-formal dress code is much appreciated.
Nametags
Your nametag will be issued to you upon registration. Nametags make it easy to get to know your fellow Consultants and help you understand which workshop to attend at what time. Please note that nametags must be worn at all times to enter Convention events.

Children and Guests
Convention is a forum through which you will receive informative training to empower you for success in your business. As such, the Convention atmosphere is fast-paced and business-oriented. Childcare will not be provided, nor will children be permitted to attend any session, breakout, ceremony or event that takes place at Gold Canyon Convention 2012. If you are using this time as a family vacation, we suggest you have your family join you after Convention so you can spend quality time with them instead of feeling divided between your business and your family.
Gold Canyon Convention 2012 is specifically designed for Gold Canyon Consultants. Guests will be permitted, but must be registered prior to Convention. Please note that Gold Canyon will not be accepting on-site registration for Convention, so arrangements for guests to come must be made in advance through the Convention registration website.
Personal Belongings
It is recommended that each Consultant bring a backpack, briefcase or alternate bag to contain all of their necessities and Convention training materials. Be sure to never leave your belongings unattended, as Gold Canyon will not be held liable for stolen or lost property.
